MoonDoku
Terms of service
Last updated August 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of MoonDoku at moondoku.com. By playing, you agree to them. They’re written to be read, not to be impressive.
The game
Everyone can play tonight’s Nightly puzzle for free, with or without an account. A free account saves your scores, streak, sky, and achievements, and syncs them across your devices. Themes, music, and ambience are free for everyone.
Your account
Sign-in is passwordless — a one-time email link, or Google or Apple. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in as you. One person, one account; don’t share it. You can delete your account at any time from Account settings, and we may suspend or close an account that’s being used to abuse the service or other players.
Buying the full game
The full game is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited puzzles at every difficulty on moondoku.com. It is not a subscription: there’s nothing recurring and nothing to cancel. Payment is handled by Stripe.
Each edition is bought where it lives. A purchase on moondoku.com unlocks the web. The iOS app and the Steam edition are complete games sold separately by Apple and Valve, and buying one doesn’t unlock the others. Your free account — streak, scores, achievements — travels everywhere at no cost.
Refunds are covered by our refund policy: 30 days, no questions asked, on purchases made here.
Fair use
Please don’t attack, overload, or try to break the service; don’t scrape or resell puzzles or leaderboard data; don’t automate play to manipulate scores, streaks, or the Nightly leaderboard; and don’t use a display name that impersonates someone or that other players shouldn’t have to read. We may reset scores or names that break these.
What belongs to whom
MoonDoku’s name, artwork, music, mascot, and code belong to us. Your gameplay record belongs to you, and you can take it with you or have it deleted — see the privacy policy.
Availability
MoonDoku is provided as-is. We work to keep it running and to keep your progress safe, but we can’t promise uninterrupted service, and features may change over time. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give account holders reasonable notice and a way to export their record.
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to MoonDoku is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
Changes
We’ll update the date above when these terms change, and tell account holders by email if a change is significant. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
