About the game
Every night, everyone who plays MoonDoku gets the same Sudoku, the Nightly, and every solve earns a star. Night by night, those stars come together as constellations in the player's own sky.
Between puzzles, a cat keeps the player company from the observatory window while rain taps the glass and lo-fi plays on the radio. And when one puzzle isn't enough, the full game adds endless Sudoku from Easy to Expert, every puzzle with exactly one solution, reached by logic alone.
Features
-
One puzzle a night
Everyone gets the same Nightly, wherever they play. Each solve places a star in the player's sky, seven to twelve stars complete a constellation, and there are four to choose from each month. A puzzle finished after midnight still counts for its own night.
-
Endless Sudoku, Easy to Expert
The full game adds puzzles at four difficulties: on Steam and iOS, 5,000 of them, playable offline. Every puzzle has one solution and needs no guessing, and Expert brings in pointing pairs and subsets.
-
Checked as you play
There are no pencil marks: each number is checked as it is placed. Mistakes clear themselves and never end a board, the first one is explained, and each board offers one to three hints. On the Nightly, a mistake adds 30 seconds to the time.
-
A cat who lives here
A handmade 3D kitten watches every move from the top of the board. It shakes its head, tilts it or winces at a mistake, and gives a slow blink after twelve correct answers in a row. Pet it, or pick one of its eight coats.
-
A world for every mood
Ten worlds wait beyond the observatory window, with cherry petals, rain, fireflies and shooting stars. The puzzle stays the same; the night changes around it.
-
Build the room you want
MoonDoku FM plays three lo-fi stations, and rain, a café, a fireplace, ocean waves and a distant storm mix in, each at its own volume. Focus mode dims everything but the board.
-
One-time purchase, no ads
The full game is a one-time purchase, bought separately on each platform, with no ads and no subscriptions. A free, optional account keeps a player's streak and sky in step across devices.
-
On Steam and iOS
Steam Cloud saves, full controller support and 17 achievements on Steam; Game Center achievements and Family Sharing for the full game on iPhone and iPad.
